As its name suggests, the distillery is in Madrid, the birthplace of the globally famous Gin & Tonic. Inspired by a strong commitment to excellence, it advocates for the perfect harmony between the most traditional distillation techniques and the innovative use of the most advanced technology.
The dream of creating the first craft distillery in Spain began more than 10 years ago, in 2012, with the launch of the first Craft distillery in Spain and one of the very first worldwide. Over time, the distillery has become an international reference, rebranded with this majestic name that honors the city that hosts us.

As its name suggests, the distillery is in Madrid, the birthplace of the world-famous Gin & Tonic. Inspired by a strong commitment to excellence, it is devoted to the perfect harmony between the most traditional distillation techniques and the innovative use of the state of the art technology.
The dream of creating the first craft distillery in Spain began almost 10 years ago with the launch of the first Craft distillery in Spain and one of the very first in the world. It was called Destileria Urbana SANTAMANIA and it was consolidated as an international benchmark. A few years later, the adventure is still intact, now with a majestic name that honors the city that welcomes us.

RAW MATERIALS ARE PARAMOUNT
Just as in the best high cuisine, using the best ingredients is essential. Seeking them at the best source requires mastery and passion for achieving superb results. Using fresh botanicals without chemicals or pesticides together with the purest neutral spirit will make the undoubtable difference between an excepcional product and the rest.

EXCELLENCE IN THE PROCESS
Following a well-developed recipe will ensure that ingredients are used with the delicacy they deserve. The process focuses therefore on ensuring that their aroma and flavour is transferred in a completely natural way to the final spirit.
And since all recipes and spirits are different, we use the most appropriate technique in each case: hot MACERATION, STEAM INFUSION, simple DISTILLATION, “one-shot”, RESTING AND DILUTION, forced OXYGENATION if applicable, and of course in the case of brown spirits, CASK AGING.

We distill in small batches that go between 150 and 700 bottles depending on the type of spirit and the ingredients used. And we do it for a very simple reason: the flavor and aroma are absolutely exceptional. Logically the production in small batches supposes an increase of costs in production, deservedly justified by the high quality of the results.
